Celebrating it`s 70th Anniversary, Maskit is a luxury fashion brand founded in Israel in 1954 by the extraordinary vision of Ruth Dayan. Ruth created Maskit as a fashion an decorative artshouse that created jobs and preserved the ethnic crafts and culture of diverse Israel.
Maskit became Israel`s only fashion house. Each item captured a vivid inspiration, a distinct human element that set it aside from other brands.
The attracted attention of fashion houses such as Christian Dior, YSL and Givenchy resulted in numerous collaborative projects.
Maskit closed in 1994 and reopened again in 2014 by Nir and Sharon Tal. Sharon worked alongside Alber Elbaz and Lanvin and was then the head of embroidery for Alexander McQueen.
